Update

Hi all,

The exact venue for Joan's mass has been changed from the AVA room to the church canteen to accomodate more people.

Joan might not attend the mass, depending on her condition that morning itself.

    Hey all,
On Saturday, if you're intending to turn up for Joan's mass, please try not to park at the church itself. This is because there will be a wedding on the premises at 10am, which coincides with the ending time of the mass, and we don't want to affect them. Instead, please park at the carparks of the neighbouring HDB blocks. This would help facilitate traffic flow in and out of the area as well. The mass would also start promptly at 9am, so please try not to be late. Thank you for your consideration. =)

A song dedicated to you Joan..

    God will make a way,
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
    He will be my Guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way.

By a roadway in the wilderness, He'll lead me
And rivers in the desert will I see
    Heaven and earth will fade
But His Word will still remain
He will do something new today.

    God will make a way,
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
    He will be my Guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way.

So rejoice in the lord.. :) God bless! *hugs*

    Dear Shufang,

though I might not be there physically by your side, I want you to know that so many people are praying and thinking of you everyday. You have to be strong like how I know you to be, I know you will. It does not matter how those cells grow, but how you face them. Your courage have touched so many hearts, and frankly, I am so moved by you and I have been thinking of you for the past few days. You must not let everyone and yourself down as it is your undying spirit that will live on in our hearts, no matter what happens.

    Hey Joan,

didn't get a chance to talk to you when I was at your place with the girls the last time so I thought i'll leave u a message here instead. Just wanted you to know that I had a memorable experience coaching you and the rest back in rj. I really love the passion, committment and enthusiasm that you showed for softball especially during the tough times when you all were just starting to learn the game and the determination that you all showed to train out of school even when rj was closed during the SARS period. Despite being beginners, you girls showed grit and determination during src, nationals and as the Lobang girls in the league. The most important thing was the process not the result and I'm proud that the lobang girls transformed into the gryphons in the end and I happy to see you mature into a good catcher and inspirational captain.Looking back, going back to rj to coach in 2003 was one of the best decisions I have made in my life.Take care Joan. Be strong. I'll always remember the softball days...

    Dear Joan,

I need to let you know that I am with you through your pain and suffering and that you are not alone. My heart pains each time thoughts of you come to my mind everyday.

But I need to tell you that you CAN come out of your own suffering yourself with God's grace upon you. I urge you to take action now. Repent of all your past sins, ask for forgiveness, praise JESUS, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, praise JESUS, Praise His Glory, Praise His Glory over darkness, Praise JESUS Glory over sins, illnesses and diseases, praise Him, praise Him, praise Him, Hallelujah!!! Then claim from Him what the Bible has promised to you. Don't have to beg, ask Him to give you what is rightfully yours, including your right to live to a ripe old age! Hallelujah, God is Glory and you shall see Glory in Him. Get a group of Christians to pray with you.

In JESUS NAME, I command that all your sins be forgiven, JESUS NAME be Praised, that with the POWERFUL STRENGTH of JESUS NAME, I command that you, Joan, has Glory over all the darkness, diseases and sicknesses in and around you. I command that in JESUS MOST POWERFUL NAME, you, Joan, be set free from Satan and that all signs of cancer be cleared from your body because your body is now JESUS HOLY TEMPLE as we, believers in CHRIST JESUS, have all claimed HIS VICTORY FOR YOU, JOAN, IN JESUS MOST POWERFUL NAME!

    IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH! HALLULUJAH! VICTORY IN JESUS! PRAISE HIM, PRAISE JESUS!

    Love from Mandy Ong
I am a mother of two daughters.

    Pray

    Father,

This is the day the Lord has made. I rejoice and I am glad in it! I rejoice in you always. And again I say, rejoice. I delight myself in you Lord. Happy am I because God is my Lord. Father, you say that you rejoice over me with joy, Hallelujah! I am redeemed. I come with singing, and everlasting joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing fleeing away. That anywhere the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty – emancipation from bondage – and freedom. I walk in the liberty.

Father, my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips. I am ever filled and stimulated with the Holy Spirit. I speak out the Psalms and hymns and make melody with all my heart to you Lord. My happy heart is a good medicine and my cheerful mind works healing. The light in my eyes rejoices the heart of others. I have a good report, my countenance radiated the joy of the Lord. Father, I thank you that I bear much prayer fruit. I ask in Jesus name and I receive so that my joy (gladness, delight) may be full, complete and overflowing. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Therefore, I count in all joy, all strength when I encounter tests or trials of any sort because I am strong in you. Father, I have victory in the Name of Jesus. Satan is under my feet. I am not moved by adverse circumstances. I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Satan is under my feet, I am not moved by adverse circumstances I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I dwell in the kingdom of God and I have peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Praise the Lord.

Father, I thank you that I bear much prayer fruit. I ask in Jesus Name and I receive so that my Joy (gladness, delight) may be full, complete and overflowing. The joy of the Lord is my strength I am strong in you. Father, I have victory in the Name of Jesus. Satan is under my feet, I am not moved by adverse circumstances. May the Holy Spirit be with you always and have a speedy recovery.
Just as we celebrated Easter, we noe that Jesus took every stripe of the whip on His back for you and i. He took the pain in our place. He took our pain of our sorrows. He took the punishment for our sin. He took it for our problems, sicknesses and diseases. And with every blow of the whip he took, we are healed in Jesus name!
So Joan stay strong and we know that miracles will happen and that all diseases will be gone in the mighty name of Jesus.

    Hi Joan,

You're are never alone, the Lord Jesus is with you always as He has promised in the bible that He will never leave you nor forsake and He is there to heal and restore you back to perfect health. Reached out to Him with a yielded heart, let your faith arise to the throne grace and say out aloud "I'm healed in Jesus name and by His wounds I'm made whole" Claim this bible verse : 1 Peter 2 : 24 "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed."

    Dearest Joan,
You are the Beloved of Daddy God. It pains Him more than anyone to see you suffering. Joan, i'm a medical doc and i know in the natural the situation seems daunting and hopeless. But Joan, let's cling onto His promises in His Word. Isaiah 53:4-"Surely He has bourne our sicknesses and carried our pains...and by His stripes we are healed." Physical symptoms are facts, but His Word is the truth. Just as Jesus spoke to woman with the issue of blood-"Daughter be healed, your faith has made you well." So He speaks to you. Look to His love and grace to you, look to the cross. Jesus bore all diseases known to mankind on the cross. He bore your tumour on the cross. The evil one has got no right at all to inflict you with the very same tumour Jesus has borne and paid for.
Know this dear daughter of the Most High God, Daddy God loves you.Do not be disheartened or afraid, for He has promised He will always be with you and will never leave you. He wants you to leave the glorious life that Jesus paid for you to have. Do not give up hoping and trusting in the love and completed, finished work of Jesus for you Joan on the cross.
I will continue to hold you in prayers-for where man(medical science) fails, God is able to show Himself strong.

God bless and keep you and your love ones,
    ruth zheng

Yet now it may very well be that the time of earthly tempering is almost over, and you will finally be all that He has always intended you to be, the completed work, in the words of C.S.Lewis, 'A right Jerusalem blade'.

Physical death is the final price we pay for falleness, and Satan's supposed last laugh as well. But I think you know all the better then me that this death, through the cross, is but the rebirth for us into something that we weren't before.

Paul rightfully mocks death, for it has lost its true sting, as much as it still holds it's physical power. Your fight and walk may be almost over, and yet you teach others who still have so much more to fight and walk.

Never be afraid with Him, but I think you know that better then me.

    Thank you.

    Hi Joan,

Your faith and trust in God's miracle healing has made you well. Must speak positively and take authority over the sickness in the mighty name of Jesus. The cancer cells are dying and destroy daily in Jesus name. New healthy cells are generating in your body bountifully by the resurrection power of your Lord Jesus Christ. He came that you may have life, and have life abundantly. Bible reference: John 10:10

Where ever you are, read the "Five Miracle Steps" prayerfully and aborb every word. When a powerful thought strikes a chord in your heart, pause and meditate on it before you go on. Expect a special touch from God. Just like the woman in the bible who suffered from a dreadful disease was bleeding constantly everyday for 12 years, heard of Jesus, with faith in her heart, exercise her faith and touched his garment and immediately the bleeding ceased. It was her faith in Jesus and not the garment that she touched. And Jesus said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease." Bible reference: Mark 5:34

    5 important steps:
    1) Hear the Word of God
    2) Receive the Word of God
    3) Speak the Word of God
    4) Act on the Word of God
    5) Receive your healing

    Blessed morning Joan,

Below is a quote from "Our Daily Bread" devotional booklet for today, 29 April.

From sinking sand He lifted me,
    With tender hand He lifted me;
From shades of night to plains of light,
O praise His name, He lifted me!

    Read bible reference: Psalm 40:1-5

Hold on to the promises of God.
Bible reference: Mark 11:22-24 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

The 'mountain' refers to the problems/sicknesses/troubles we encounter in life and not the physical mountain. Right now, with faith in your heart speak the Word of God to remove that 'mountain' and cast it into the lake of fire to where it belongs. No sicknesses/problems/troubles shall prosper in the life of the faithful children of God. You are more than conquerors in Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour who loved you, Joan. Bible reference: Romans 8:37

God's grace and mercy are new every morning.

    Our Farewell

    In my hands
    A legacy of memories
I can hear you say my name
I can almost see your smile
Feel the warmth of your embrace
But there is nothing but silence now
    Around the one I loved
    Is this our farewell?

Sweet darling you worry too much, my child
See the sadness in your eyes
You are not alone in life
Although you might think that you are

    Never thought
This day would come so soon
We had no time to say goodbye
How can the world just carry on?
I feel so lost when you are not by my side
But there's nothing but silence now
    Around the one I loved
    Is this our farewell?

So sorry your world is tumbling down
I will watch you through these nights
Rest your head and go to sleep
Because my child, this not our farewell.
    This is not our farewell.

The Christian life is to be characterized by a growth process - from spiritual milk to solid food. We are to absorb the elementary truths of our faith and then begin to chew on the "meaty" ones. The question, "Is God in every circumstance?" falls into this latter category because the answer to it conflicts with human thinking. You see, God is in both the triumphs and tragedies of life. He either sends them or permits them to happen.

When we ponder the deeper teachings of Scripture, it's important to start with the Lord's character and promises. For example, in meditating on the fact that He does permit some extremely hard times, it is critical to remember: God is good (Psalm 145:8-9)- His purposes are good, as is everything He does; God is sovereign (Psalm 103:19), so there is nothing that is outside of His control; God promises believers that He will work things together for good (Romans 8:28); God keeps His promises (2 Corinthians 1:20). These facts form a filter through which we can seek to understand the Lord's presence in every situation.

Consider Joseph. Betrayed by his brothers, falsely accused by his employer's wife, and imprisoned unjustly, he was powerless and, in many ways, forgotten. But he refused to be swayed by circumstances - he grasped the deeper truth that God had orchestrated it all for good.

Whether the Lord sends a trial or permits one, He has said He will use it as part of His plan for our good. Do you believe Him?

    Dear Joan,

    You are a true inspiration.

So many people make the mistake of missing out what is important in their daily lives.

You have met a monster, but you have fought it with an even more tremendous determination and faith.

What is so admirable about you is the strength that you show, the peace you have found and your never-ending faith in God.

Thank you for teaching us so much.

God bless you and you will be in my prayers.
